Create a challenging space for learning and change

Teach others to fish...
I have more than 30 years of varied work experience. Much of this has been focused on helping others improve their understanding of themselves and how they can bring the best of themselves to work, and on helping teams to do the same. I love exploring new concepts and ideas, but I also like to stay focused on the basics - finding that they are often overlooked.
Four principles guide my work:
1. Create a challenging space for learning and change
There is a lot of evidence that learning takes place when we move beyond the edges of our comfort zone. Together, we have to find the balance between old knowledge and new; between comfort and discomfort; between stasis and instability - to allow you that opportunity for learning.
2. Hold a safe place for exploration
This is essential for successful learning. I make every effort to create an environment in which everyone has a voice, and every voice is heard; where you are invited to share and to offer feedback.
3. Do the right thing
I believe that taking the high road and living with integrity will serve you well. I make every effort to do that in all aspects of my own life, and I try to help my clients figure out what this means for them.
4. Teach others to fish....
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
I try to provide you with as many tools and supports as possible as we work together, so that you can become as self-sufficient as you want to be.
Ultimately, I see my role as being someone who engages people in conversations that change the way they see themselves and others, and therefore how they interact in the world.
